The break-in process is necessary for proper installation to ensure optimal performance. During the process it is common to hear noises and squeals for about a week. Please follow these steps below once you have installed your new set of brakes.

Find a safe area to perform the break-in procedure. 5 moderate or aggressive stops at 40MPH/60km to 5MPH/10km without letting the brakes cool down or coming to a full stop. 5 moderate stops at 25MPH/40km to 5MPH/10km and let the rotors cool down after each application.

Please note that if you have coated rotors, the coated surface that comes into contact with the pads will rub off during the break-in procedure.
